In a recent article for AARP, Lucretia Marmon says older
Americans are going deeper in debt!
Did you know that 450,000 of them filed for bankruptcy in
2003? This makes older Americans the fastest growing age group
in bankruptcy. It seems that a down-turn in economic times
and todays easy credit are causing people, particularly those
50 to 65, to accumulate too much mortgage and credit card
debt.
Many of you reading this who have been downsized from a
good job, with little prospects of finding another one, often use
credit cards to tide you over. Job loss and medical expenses
top the reasons for indebtedness and bankruptcy. And, to make
it even worse, all this has happened when you were beginning
to look forward to some day retiring.
To solve this terrible, and very real, threat to our families
present and future well-being what can a person do? Find a
source of new, and adequate, income, of course.
How do you do that, I hear you asking. After doing much
research on the subject I have come to the conclusion that one
way to help ourselves, and help others, is through a way often
overlooked or ignored. That way is Network Marketing!
Before you put that down as a tired old scheme, you should
be open-minded enough to give it some thought. Read RichDads
The Business School by Robert T. Kiyosaki and The New Pro-
fessionals by Dr. Charles W. King, Professor of Marketing at
the University of Chicago. (read these at your library or buy
them from Amazon.com).
This business, once called MLM, or MultiLevelMarketing, has
reached a new plateau of respectability and profitability.
Previously the way the business worked was going to meetings,
bothering your friends and neighbors and making endless phone
calls. Now the WorldWideWeb has, in great part, simplified things.
There are millions of people on the Internet and many of them
are looking for an opportunity to improve their financial
situation. It is therefore easier through todays technology,
and at almost no cost, to contact these people.
The proliferation of the Internet has given us an opportunity
to be part of a business that is the wave of the New Economy.
It is a home-based opportunity with:
* No franchise to buy!
* No commute!
* No employees!
* No punching the clock!
There is no business that I know of that can be started with
so little capital, so little previous training, and so little
concern with gender, education and race. And this is a business
in which there are almost no limits to your earnings. This
can mean the ability to retire quickly and earn residual income
thereafter.
If you have a need for financial freedom and would like to
help others make money, live life on their own terms and want
to join the ranks of the New Professionals, investigate Network
Marketing. You just might find your new lifestyle!
